According to the article in the Tampa Bay Times, the veto of the Higher Education Bill was good for the University of South Florida. In the article it goes on to state, that according to Governor Rick Scott when he vetoed the bill, it did not mean the efforts put forth to improve Florida Bright Future Academic Scholars was lost. It was approved in the full state budget he signed into action on June 2.
